Chandlers Yard

Kat Heye's work is currently rooted in a deeply human instinct — the impulse to collect. From childhood onwards we gather objects and assign them personal meaning; something kept out of longing for someone, an item that carries a memory or sense of place, a keepsake that feels 'just right'. Working across drawing, painting, screen printing and small sculpture her practice draws on these ideas through her own family histories, the language of symbols and an appreciation for the beauty of everyday things.

Based at Chandlers Yard in Worthing, Kat's container studio will be open for visitors to explore. The adjoining gallery space will host a group show featuring her work alongside fellow Sussex artists.
